• El 04 de febrero de 2015, fue acusado por el rapero estadounidense OG Maco de apropiación cultural. Afirmando que Keith Ape, y sus amigos, se habían burlado de él usando estereotipos negros para vender música en su video de "It G Ma". También afirmó que habían robado la base de su pista de su single de debut "U Guessed It". A partir del 13 de agosto de 2015, OG Maco cobra regalías de "It G Ma", y desde entonces ha suprimido sus tweets con respecto a sus acusaciones de apropiación cultural. No obstante, rechazó una invitación para ser una parte de la versión remix posterior de "It G Ma".
• El 22 de marzo de 2021 anunció a través de su cuenta de Instagram que desafortunadamente fue diagnosticado con una enfermedad terminal y que solo le quedan 3 a 6 meses de vida.
